As a dad raising his daughter here in Erie County, Steve believes the Clerk’s Office should meet the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. He is running to restore credibility, rebuild public trust, and ensure the office serves residents efficiently and transparently - the way it should.

In recent years, the Erie County Clerk’s Office has been overshadowed by multiple documented incidents of criminal and ethical misconduct. Stolen taxpayer money. Taxpayer-paid political advertising. Coverups and obstruction of oversight. This is just scratching the surface of what has happened in the Erie County Clerk's office recently.

The bar for basic integrity must be higher than this. It's up to us to rebuild this office.

The County Clerk's office is marred by years of documented criminal activity and ethical misconduct. On Day 1, Steve will work with partners and stakeholders across Erie County to bring transparency and accountability to this institution.

2. We'll modernize the office and make it more accountable

Steve has spent his career fixing broken offices and bringing them into the digital era. By modernizing the Clerk's approach to constituent services, we will improve overall satisfaction while simultaneously creating more transparent processes.

3. We'll expand our reach and access to government services

We all pay taxes across Erie County, yet the Clerk's office is physically inaccessible to several large communities in our region. It's about time we get what we pay for: Steve will work to expand access and presence across the County.
